Angry Birds Star Wars was a puzzle video game released on November 8, 2012, as a crossover between the Star Wars franchise and the Angry Birds series of video games – most popular smartphone game of that time so it was initially available for only for iOS, Android and MeeGo devices. The game is the sixth installment of the Angry Birds franchise. On July 18, 2013, Rovio and Activision jointly announced that on October 29, 2013, Angry Birds Star Wars would be released on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS. Over 100 million downloads of the game have been made across all of its platforms as of August 2013. On February 3, 2020, Angry Birds Star Wars was discontinued.
