Call of Duty: Black Ops II is a first-person shooter video game published by Activision and developed by Treyarch. The ninth installment in the Call of Duty video game series, Black Ops II is a follow-up to the 2010 title Call of Duty: Black Ops and the first Call of Duty game for the Wii U. Additionally, it is playable on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows. The campaign of the game takes place in the late 1980s and 2025 and continues the plot of Black Ops. Critics gave Black Ops II largely favorable reviews, praising its gameplay, plot, multiplayer, and zombies mode but criticizing its Strike Force missions.
