Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is an action puzzle video game for the Wii U developed and published by Nintendo. It is a Super Mario spin-off that expands upon the Captain Toad-starring isometric minigames from Super Mario 3D World game. The “Adventures of Captain Toad” levels in Super Mario 3D World served as the foundation for the game’s main gameplay paradigm. In the game, players take control of Captain Toad, and his friend Toadette in an effort to successfully negotiate a variety of hazards and earn a gold star at the conclusion of each level. The review aggregate Metacritic reported that the game was well-received.
