Darksiders II is a THQ-published action role-playing hack and slash action-adventure video game developed by Vigil Games. The game is available for Wii U, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The plot centers on the player character Death’s attempts to clear the name of his brother War, who is accused of eradicating humanity. The game frequently incorporates interactive puzzle elements, requiring the player to navigate a maze of levers, doors, elevators, portals, and other obstacles in order to move about and accomplish goals. It was one of the costliest video games ever to create, with a $50 million overall budget. It received positive reviews: review aggregator website Metacritic gave the Wii U version 85/100.
