DuckTales: Remastered is a Metroidvania-style platform video game published by Capcom and developed by WayForward Technologies. The video game is an HD version of DuckTales, which was first made available for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989. Except on the Wii U the game is available on other platforms as well (Microsoft Windows, the PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360). The game is presented in 2.5D, with 2D hand-drawn character sprites and 3D sculpted levels. The game, like the original, centers on Scrooge McDuck exploring the globe in search of five treasures to further his fortune. Reviews of Remastered were mostly favorable. While criticizing the game’s surplus of plot information, reviews appreciated the gameplay and presentation of the title.
