F1 Race Stars is a video game created by Codemasters. It is a kart racing game with circuits modified to include loops, jumps, and short-cuts that is largely based on the 2012 Formula One season. It is the first kart-racing game created by Codemasters and is a spin-off from the classic Formula One video games. The user can select cartoon representations of Formula One racers including Michael Schumacher, Kimi Räikkönen, Nico Rosberg, Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel, and Fernando Alonso. According to Codemasters, the game was created with amusement and less emphasis on simulation. F1 Race Stars: Powered Up Edition, a Wii U version, was made available in January 2014.
