Guitar Hero Live is a music rhythm video game released by Activision and created by FreeStyleGames. It is the seventh main installment in the Guitar Hero series. The game was released in November 2015 for the Wii U as well as for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. As in previous games in the series, the goal is to match fret patterns presented on a scrolling note pattern on screen in rhythm with the music using an unique guitar controller. Critics praised the redesigned controller design for delivering trickier and more realistic gameplay in contrast to previous Guitar Hero games, as well as the broader selection of content available via the GHTV mode, after Guitar Hero Live’s release.
