Hyrule Warriors is a hack and slash video game for the Wii U video game platform created by Omega Force and Team Ninja. The game is a partnership between Koei Tecmo and Nintendo, and it combines settings and characters from The Legend of Zelda with gameplay from Koei’s Dynasty Warriors series. Hyrule Warriors was first published in Japan in August 2014, and then internationally the following month. It rose to the top of the Wii U game charts. According to Metacritic, Hyrule Warriors has an average reviewer score of 76 out of 100, which indicates “generally good reviews.”
