Minecraft: Wii U Edition was a Wii U version of the game created by 4J Studios and Mojang Studios. A retail disc version was released in June 2016. Seven add-on packs are included with this edition, and sixteen more packs may be downloaded separately. A mash-up based on the Super Mario franchise was launched in May 2016 as part of the game’s exclusive content based on Nintendo properties. Since Patch 43, no new feature updates—such as Village & Pillage, Buzzy Bees, the Nether Update, Caves & Cliffs, etc.—have been added to the Wii U Edition. The Update Aquatic is the most recent feature update for this edition.
