Puyo Puyo Tetris is a puzzle video game created by Sonic Team and distributed by Sega. The game combines elements from both the Tetris and Puyo Puyo series and offers a variety of gaming styles that do so. Characters in the game are based on and given names from the seven Tetrominos, which are various puzzle pieces made up of four blocks each. Puyo Puyo Tetris was published on the Wii U and other platforms (Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3). Over 1.4 million copies of the game had been sold globally by November 2020.
