Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is a Sega-published kart racing video game developed by Sumo Digital. It was released for the Wii U and other platforms (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 3DS, iOS and Android). Players compete in a kart racing game employing more than 20 characters from several Sega franchises, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Jet Set Radio, and Space Channel 5. The game has updated gameplay mechanics over its predecessor. In a race, vehicles can switch between automobile, boat, and plane modes at specific times. Critics have given the game favorable reviews.
