Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric is an action-adventure platform video game for the Wii U developed by Big Red Button and published by Sega. In comparison to earlier Sonic the Hedgehog editions, this game places a major emphasis on exploration and fighting, with four primary characters that players control: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. Each character has distinct skills and gaming mechanics. For its controls, camera system, fighting, story, dialogue, and numerous bugs and technical faults, Rise of Lyric garnered overwhelmingly unfavorable reviews from critics; many regarded the game as one of the worst in the Sonic franchise.
