Taiko no Tatsujin: Wii U Version is the first Taiko no Tatsujin game designed specifically for the Wii U. The game is supposed to have 70 songs and features Golden Bomber and Super Mario Bros. appearances, as well as a collaborative campaign with Japanese idol group Momoiro Clover Z. The Wii U version includes the new Baton Touch Play gaming option, in which multiple players alternatively play a single song in a relay race-like format. The game also supports the Wii U GamePad with a touchscreen drum and can be played without requiring a television set. The Nintendo eShop offers both free and paid downloadable content, such as costume accessories and new playable songs.
