Wii Karaoke U by Joysound is a karaoke game for the Wii U that was developed by TOSE and distributed by Nintendo. The service is ticket-based. Users had the option of buying tickets for sessions that lasted for as little as an hour or as long as a whole day. Users could also purchase a 30-day ticket if they wanted to use the service for the entire month. Users can choose any song available on the service while the ticket is active. The tunes varied according to location. The game is free, but in order to sing songs, the player must purchase a ticket from the eShop and stay connected to the internet. In Europe, the service was discontinued on March 31, 2017.
